Widex Evoke 440 BTE 13D Hearing Aid review / Unboxing

The Evoke 440 is Widex’s best Behind-the-ear hearing aid providing great automatic features and sound quality. The device is suitable for almost all ranges of hearing loss and is simple to use making it a good option for those with poor dexterity.

The device’s SoundSense technology allows it to learn from the different environments the user attends and personalises the listening experience. The devices will remember personalised changes in certain environments and will apply them to similar situations to make life easier and more automatic. In addition, it will analyse up to eleven specific environments and optimise the program based on the situation through the Fluid Sound analyzer. It does this with greater accuracy and speed than it’s previous generation. The device boasts superb wind noise reduction for those who enjoy the outdoors and from other user comments have reported “great sound quality for music”.

The model has wireless made-for-iphone bluetooth capability and android connection is possible but with accessories. This will allow users to stream phone calls and music directly to the hearing aids. In addition, volume control can be done via the phone App or device push buttons for those who prefer old school controls.

A disadvantage to the Widex Evoke440 hearing aids are the number of adjustment channels available. Evoke440 aids have less number of channels compared to other premium aids which introduces a limitation to fine tuning. Despite these issues, overall, Widex has done a magnificent job in the realm of personalised hearing by introducing hearing aids that are truly smart and learn from the hearing aid user’s preferences.
